  • ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete is the leading product for the protection of concrete. 
  • ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete durably and deeply protects concrete against water, chlorides, carbonation and corrosion. It also helps tackle the deterioration caused by atmospheric pollution, grease-type staining, penetration of liquids, graffiti... Concrete treated with ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete will benefit from an increased life-span and will be easier to maintain. 
  • ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete is a non film-forming impregnation product that leaves the treated surface permeable to air and water vapour. ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete is completely colourless after application and does not change the appearance or the composition of the treated surface. It is also UV-resistant and does not discolor with age.
  • ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete is CE marking product, that meets standard EN 1504-2, allowing to provide protection treatments to concretes.
ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete may be used outside and inside on facades, walls and floors. It is used to protect all kind of concretes, for new and renovated constructions.

Apply using a low pressure sprayer with a Viton seal, an airless gun, a brush or a roller. Wear a protection mask (Type: ABEK) especially when the product is sprayed. On low-porous concretes, apply with a roller.

Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with a solvent.
  • Apply the product to a surface that is clean, dust-free, greasefree and dry. To remove stains and marks of pollution use Guard Cleaner® Polluted Facades. For efflorescence, laitance or concrete bloom use Guard Remover® Eco Efflorescence & Cement.
  • Rinse carefully and wait until the surface is completely dry and free from any cleaner marks before applying ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete.
  • Use neat, do not dilute.
  • Shake the product well before use.
  • Always carry out a preliminary test.
  • The treated surface should be impregnated to saturation point in one or in two applications ‘wet-on-wet’.
  • Do not over apply the product.
  • The surface must be protected for 24 hours from traffic and liquids (rain, grease...).
  • Optimum effectiveness obtained after 7 days.

Coverage depends on the porosity of the material. The figures below should be used only as a general guideline: 90 to 170 g/m2.

  • Keep in a dry place (between -10°C and 40°C).
  • Storage: 12 months following the production date when kept in the original unopened container.
  • Stubborn dirt should be cleaned off with clean water or with Guard Cleaner® Eco Soiled Floors diluted with 50% water.
  • Graffiti can be cleaned using GraffiGuard® 2030 Ecological.
  • We recommend the application of the product on a concrete that has more than 28 days or with a moisture content infe-rior to 5%. For other applications please consult us and make trials.
  • Always work in a well-ventilated space.
  • For best results, ProtectGuard® CE Special Concrete must be shaken and used when the temperature of the substrates is between 5°C and 30°C.
  • Do not apply during rain or in very hot weather. Air temperature between 5°C and 30°C.
  • Do not dilute or mix with any other product.
  • On certain materials, product may increase slightly the original colour (carry out a preliminary test).
  • Respiratory protection: Do not inhale the product. Wear a protection mask (type: ABEK).
  • Hand protection: Wear fluorinated rubber gloves.
  • Skin protection: Wear appropriate protective clothing.
  • Eye protection: Wear protective airtight goggles (ref. stan-dard EN 166).
  • If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or a specialist.
